As tax time approaches Madison DuPaix has listed a lot of basic tax information on her site MyDollarPlan.com. I am a corporate accountant, however I do not keep up on a lot of the tax changes so when I ran across her post that consolidated a lot of 2008 tax information: All in one place.
I will say this if you don’t own a home, or have any complex investments besides a savings account or your 401-K you should be able to do your taxes on your own using the forms. If you have a computer use TurboTax or Tax Cut and you should be able to get the taxes done in a short amount of time and if you file a 1040EZ then you can do it for free online at TurboTax.com.
Also if you are looking to get the software Amazon has set up a Tax Software download site where you can download the software. I have looked at the websites, and Amazon is offering the software cheaper than what you can get it for directly from the software websites.
